Middleboro man, 66, killed in one-vehicle crash
MIDDLEBORO — John Kadish, 66, of Middleboro was killed Sunday afternoon after the car he was driving struck a tree on Thompson Street (Route 105) just south of Plain Street, Police Chief Joseph Perkins and Fire Chief Owen Thompson reported.
Middleboro Fire and Police responded to reports of a serious crash at about 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a vehicle had crashed into a tree.
Kadish was the the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thompson Street was subsequently closed to traffic between Plain Street and Precinct Street as first responders remained on scene.
Middleboro Police are investigating the crash with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Prevention and Control Unit.
The fatal accident came a day after a Nichols Middle School student was killed in a house fire on Pearl Street.
