Middleboro and Apponequet achieve athletic success

Multiple sports teams from Middleboro High School and Apponequet High School will be moving on to the playoffs this fall.

The Apponequet girls soccer team won the South Coast Conference Championship after losing one out of their 20 games this season.

Both school’s football teams will be competing in their respective divisional playoffs this Friday on Nov. 3.

Apponequet is set to play at Deedham at 6 p.m., and is seeded 13th in division 5. Middleboro has a home game at 7 p.m. and is seeded 3rd in division 4.

Middleboro’s field hockey team also found postseason success. The Sachem’s are seeded 26th in division 2, and play their first playoff game against Hopkinton at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3.

The Apponequet girl’s volleyball team’s 7-8 win-loss record got them into the playoffs, where they are seeded 23rd in division 3. They play Newburyport away at 6 p.m., Nov. 2.

Finally, the Apponequet girl’s soccer team made the playoffs after winning the South Coast Conference championship title. They are seeded 12th in division 3, and will play the winner of the game between Boston Latin Academy and Archbishop Williams High School.
