Meeting to discuss community preservation projects

Feb 6, 2025

LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Community Preservation Committee welcomes the community to learn about the committee’s work at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford St.

This public hearing gives residents the chance to voice their opinions on how to best spend Community Preservation Act, also known as CPA, funds, now and in the future.

The Community Preservation Committee is charged with overseeing the town’s CPA funds and making annual allocations and spending recommendations at Town Meeting.

The committee reviews projects in three different categories: open space and outdoor recreation, historic preservation and community housing.

A Community Preservation Plan is reviewed annually and may be modified in response to changing goals over time.

The public hearing process allows Lakeville residents to learn more about the CPA and participate in this process.

A copy of the current plan will be available at the hearing as well as on the website. To learn more, visit www.lakevillema.org/community-preservation-committee.
