LAKEVILLE — A man received life-threatening injuries Friday evening May 10 after a pickup truck and motorcycle collided at the intersection of routes 79 and 18, Lakeville Fire and Police departments reported.

He received advanced life support while being transported to the hospital, the fire department reported. 

Because the on-duty crew was handling a medical emergency, off-duty firefighters monitoring the radio from their homes responded to the crash, the fire department reported.  

The police department closed Route 18 between Route 79 and Kenneth Welch Drive to investigate the incident.
