MIDDLEBORO — Former Apponequet Regional High School Teacher Richard Tripp will be giving a talk on his new book “Lessons Learned in Zuni” at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Middleboro on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. 

The book features a collection of stories from three years Tripp spent teaching English on the Zuni reservation in New Mexico. He eventually left and returned to Lakeville, after which he began teaching at Apponequet. 

The event is free to attend. 

Tripp said he wrote the book in part because “I wanted my children and my grandchildren to know about a very important time to me.”
