Lizzie Borden to be topic of Lakeville Historical Society talk

LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Historical Society will hold its first meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 pm at the Lakeville Council on Aging, 1 Dear Crossing.

The evening’s program will be presented by Cynthia Tobojka and will discuss “Lizzie Borden, The Unusual Suspect, The Once Known, the Unknown and Those Known by the Police.’’

At the second meeting of the year, on March 26, Sage Lamade and Dawn Salerno will present the program “The Rotch, Duff, Jones House of New Bedford and Its Relationship to Lydia Rotch of Hilltop Farm of Lakeville.’’

The meetings are free, accessible, and open to the public.

The society is fundraising for restoration repairs to the former Grove Chapel building cupola.
