Library becomes a comedy club for program on laughter

MIDDLEBORO — The Middleboro Public Library will be transformed into a comedy club for an upcoming program that educates people about comedy while offering some laughs in the process.

“Laugh & Learn’’will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 at the library, 102 N. Main St. The program features teacher, comedian, writer and musician Dave Maloof, who will discuss how and why people laugh, the health benefits of laughter, and how comedy is written and performed. 

He will also perform his own comedy songs, (singing while playing ukulele or keyboard) including “My Wife Is In Love with the Dog” and his parody of “Hush Little Baby,” as well as some of his own jokes, including the one about how his daughter doesn’t even look like him.
