The LAKEVILLE PLANNING BOARD will conduct a public hearing pursuant to MASS GENERAL LAWS CHAPTER 41, SECTION 81T on THURSDAY, August 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, to consider a request to modify the Definitive Subdivision Plan Golfer’s Way, which was approved on September 28, 2023. The modification proposes to move the roadway and requires a waiver that was not necessary on the original application. HISTORICAL COMMISSION
The Middleborough Historical Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in the Select Board Room at the Middleborough Town Hall, Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, on the application of Ken Stone and Middleborough Gas and Electric, for a permit to demolish a building at 37 Wareham Street. Anyone desiring to be heard on this matter should appear at the time and place designated.
This meeting is a result of the previous determination, by the Middleborough Historical Commission, that 37 Wareham Street is a Significant Structure in accordance with the Middleborough Structure Demolition Bylaw.
The structure at 37 Wareham Street has been determined historically and architecturally significant by a number of cultural resource organizations including the Middleborough Historical Commission, the Massachusetts Historical Commission and the National Park Service. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing resource in the Middleborough Center National Register Historic District.

The Middleborough Historical Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:30p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in the Select Board Room at the Middleborough Town Hall, Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, on the application of Bill Logan for a permit to demolish a building at 560 Wareham Street. Anyone desiring to be heard on this matter should appear at the time and place designated.
This meeting is a result of the previous determination, by the Historical Commission, that 560 Wareham Street is a Significant Structure, in accordance with the Middleborough Structure Demolition Bylaw. This property is contributing resource to the South Middleborough National Historic District. This property is known as the “Thomas Brothers Store” and was constructed in 1948.

As an outcome of this hearing, the Commission will explore whether the building shall be determined a “Preferably Preserved Significant Structure” as defined by the Town of Middleborough’s Structure Demolition Bylaw, Sections 3.3-3.6 or if a permit for demolition will be granted.
