SELECT BOARD
The Select Board will hold a public hearing in the Select Board’s Meeting Room at the Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, MA on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 7:30 PM, for the purpose of discussing an application filed by Zenith Consulting Engineers, LLC, for a Special Permit under the Water Resource Protection District By-Law to allow for restoration of an existing vegetated area within 25’ of a wetland. The project involves the removal of invasive spieces and planting of shrubs and trees native to the area. The property is located at 68 E. Main Street, in the Residence A (RA) and in Water Resource Protection District (WRPD) Zone 2. This is shown on Assessors Map 051, Lot 2848. Anyone wishing to be heard on this matter should appear at the time and place designated.

HISTORICALCOMMISSION
The Middleborough Historical Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p. m. on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Town Hall, Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, on the application of Valerie A. Streiff for a permit to demolish the residential structure and accessory buildings at 35 Lakeside Road, Assessors’ Map 77, Lot 4621. The hearing will conclude with a determination by the Commission as to whether the buildings are “Preferably Preserved Significant Structures” as defined by the Town of Middleborough’s Structure Demolition Bylaw, Sections 3.3-3.6 and whether demolition would be detrimental to the historical or architectural resources of the town. Anyone desiring to be heard on this matter should appear at the time and place designated.

LED Lighting Retrofit
Bid packages may be obtained beginning on July 26, 2023 at 8 AM in the Town Manager’s Office, located at 10 Nickerson Ave, Middleborough, or via email to surettee@middleboroughma.gov. Bids must be received in the Town Manager’s Office by August 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud. A pre-bid site visit will occur on August 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Work consists of furnishing labor and materials necessary for the removal and disposal of existing fluorescent fixtures and the installation of new LED fixtures or retrofitting to Type “C” LED tubes in the Middleborough Public Library and Council on Aging. Bidders must be certified by DCAMM in the Electrical and/or Energy Management Systems categories of work, and must comply with the wage rates and weekly payroll submittals required by the Prevailing Wage Law.
