HVAC Design, Engineering,
and Construction Administration
The Town of Middleborough, Massachusetts is requesting qualifications from qualified design professionals in accordance with M.G.L. 7C §44-58 to perform full and complete HVAC design and construction administration services for the replacement of the existing HVAC system in the Middleborough Public Library. Individuals working on this project must be engineers licensed and registered in Massachusetts, have completed similar work in the State of Massachusetts within the last two (2) years, and must have at least five (5) years’ experience providing relevant services. A mandatory pre-submission site visit and briefing session will take place on July 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM, at the Middleborough Public Library, located at 102 North Main Street, Middleborough, MA 02346. This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) may be obtained beginning on July 5, 2023, at 12:00 PM by contacting Emily Surette, Assistant to the Town Manager (email: surettee@middleboroughma.gov; phone: 508-947-0928). An existing conditions study is included in the RFQ documents. Contract work shall begin within 30 days of the contract award and conclude upon the completion of project construction, which is estimated to conclude in April 2025. The awarding authority is the Board of Library Trustees. This contract has a not-to-exceed limit of $50,000. Sealed applications will be received in the Office of the Town Manager, located at Middleborough Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, MA 02346 until August 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Pursuant to M.G. L. Ch 131, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Lakeville Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on July 25, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, on a Request for Determination of Applicability. The Applicant, Richard Rheaume, Prime Engineering, is proposing to establish the wetlands line.
The project is located at 160 Bedford Street and is also identified as Assessor’s Map 26, Plat 005, Lot 001B.

Pursuant to MGL Ch. 40A, Sec. 9 as amended and Middleborough Zoning Bylaws Sec. 8.3 – Development Opportunities District (DOD), the Middleborough Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. in the Select Board Meeting Room at the Middleborough Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, relative to a Special Permit Application for the development of 27 Harding Street, (Map 47, Lot 445) Middleborough, Massachusetts. The applicant proposes the construction of three warehouse buildings totaling 672,800 square feet with associated infrastructure on a 150 acre lot, including an access driveway, to be constructed in an easement area (across a 73 acre lot), connecting to Harding Street/ Route 44.
