MIDDLEBORO — Learn about King Phillip’s War at the Middleboro Public Library on Monday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.

Michael Tougias, the co-author of “King Philip’s War, the History and Legacy of America’s Forgotten Conflict,” will speak on the local war.

King Phillip was the son of Massassoit, Chief of the Wampanoags, who aided the Pilgrims for the first 20 years after their arrival in Plymouth, later started the war that would decimate the entire region.
