Lakeville receives $48K grant for Planning Board review
LAKEVILLE — Lakeville has received $48,000 from the state to review Planning Board rules and regulations.
The money, awarded through the Community One Stop for Growth’s Rural Development Fund grant program, will allow the town to ensure the rules and regulations are clear and concise to help facilitate future economic growth and development, according to information provided by Gov. Maura Healey’s office.
The Rural Development Fund, which is administered by the Executive Office of Economic Development, provides grants for community projects in rural and small towns.
Awards are based on the project’s connection to housing, transportation, infrastructure, economic development, community development, and priorities identified by the Massachusetts Rural Policy Advisory Commission.
Grants are offered for various project types, including community planning efforts, predevelopment activities, and construction.
