Lakeville Lions promise roaring good time at seventh family fall festival

Sep 1, 2023

LAKEVILLE — For the seventh year, the Lakeville Lions Club will be hosting a fall family festival with a full slate of family-friendly activities scheduled.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Lions grounds, 170 Main St. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 17.

The festival is the culmination of nearly a year’s worth of planning by Lakeville Lions Club volunteers.

Admission is free. Activities will include a bouncy house, games and a small animal area.

Food will be served, including pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and mac and cheese, which children tend to enjoy. Soda, juice, water and popcorn will also be available. Lions Club members report that they work to keep prices reasonable.

The Berkley Beer company will be in attendance to serve their craft brews to adults.

There will be 40 vendors offering a variety of crafts and services.

A hay ride has been added this year. Raffles will be held and two games have been added: A milk bottle knock-down and a bag toss. Each child will always win a prize.

A disc jockey will provide music. There will also be a two-hour set by Lakeville native Rich O’Reily.

The Lakeville Police and Fire departments will be there to meet with residents and give gifts to children.

There will be a new drop off box in place for donations of eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids, which reflects the Lions Club’s dedication to eye and ear issues.
