LAKEVILLE — Most lions are known for their roars, but the Lakeville Lions are more often recognized for their annual golf tournament.

The Lakeville Lions Club will host the 29th edition of its golf tournament at The Back Nine Club starting at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. Registration on the day of the event begins at noon.

The $110 entry price covers green fees, a golf cart, and dinner. The early bird rate for participants who sign up before June 1st is $100.

Teams who finish in first, second, and third places will receive prizes. There will be a putting contest for prizes, too.

The event will also have raffles and a silent auction to benefit the charities supported by the Lakeville Lions. The Lions support causes relating to combating childhood cancer, caring for the environment, and fighting hunger.
