LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Fire Department has received a $6,881 grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to continue its fire prevention education programs, department staff have announced.

The funding will allow the fire department to continue to deliver fire prevention education to the community's most vulnerable populations. The department’s Senior Safe and Safe Student programs are intended to protect those people most at risk of harm from fire.

The program is administered through the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services.
