LAKEVILLE — It’s time to get your craft on.
The 19th edition annual Lakeville Arts & Music Festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The festival will be held at the corners of Precinct and Bedford Streets in Lakeville.
Crafters and artisans must make the work they sell. For those interested in selling their work at the festival, a limited number of spaces are still available under the large common tent. There are also 10 x 10 foot spaces available for individuals with their own tents. Before getting accepted to sell as a vendor, all crafters will be evaluated by the Lakeville Arts Council. The number of artisans and crafters in certain categories are limited to ensure diversity.
The Festival Committee seeks a limited number of non-profit organizations such as community service organizations and environmental groups to inform visitors about their missions and goals.
For a crafter or non-profit application, email Lakeville.Fest.Crafts@hotmail.com to have one emailed to you or print an application at www.lakevillema.org under the Arts Council page.
The two pieces of entertainment will include “the armed and dangerous” Henry the Juggler, known to cause spontaneous outbursts of laughter. Bela Sarkozy will return to perform his solo jazz guitar with a performance that includes swing, bebop, Latin, bossa nova and pop.
There will also be a variety of artisans selling items such as photographs, basket weavers, gnomes, decoys, jewelry, different styles of stoneware pottery, woodworkers, birdhouses and natural body care and CBD products.
