John P. Silvia of Lecanto, Florida, died suddenly on March 15, 2025 in his home. John was 51. 

 

He was born on May 9, 1973 in Middleboro and attended local schools. 

 

John was an entrepreneur and an extremely hard worker, with interests in painting, handyman services, concrete work, land surveying and HVAC.  He took pride in everything he did and whatever he set his mind to he accomplished. He proudly served our country and was a US Veteran. John loved his family and friends and that love was returned.  A true family man, John adored his daughter and new granddaughter and treasured the time he spent with them and his mother.  It made him happy and proud that Isla had his blue eyes. John enjoyed music, nature and the outdoors, especially kayaking. An animal lover, John had a special affection for his cats, Bubba and Sissy. John had the biggest heart and could always make you laugh.

 

Beloved son of Patricia (Linton) Silvia and the late Edward Silvia, Sr. Devoted father of Ariana Silvia.  Loving brother of Edward Silvia, Jr. and his wife, Colleen, Robert Silvia and his wife, Colleen and the late William Silvia. Grandfather of Isla Donovan and soulmate of Alisha Silvia. Uncle of Melissa Silvia, Rachel Silvia, Abigail Silvia, Lilliana Ford, Benjamin Silvia, Steven Silvia, Nathan Silvia, Cameron McNeil and Aiden McNeil.

 

Visiting hours on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 4 until 7 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.

 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. 

 

Interment will be private and at a later date.
