John A. Lawson, Sr., age 82, of Middleborough, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27th, 2024, in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Born on June 3rd, 1942, he was loved and raised by Pauline Gosnay and Easter Brown in Catlettsburg, Kentucky.

John will always be remembered for his laughter and generosity and the way that he always had a smile on his face. We’ll imagine him reminding us that he didn’t “fall off the turnip truck” in his southern drawl. We couldn’t have asked for a more treasured husband, beloved father, adored grandfather and great-grandfather, and dear friend; his warmth will be missed every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, with visitation from 4-7 pm at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, Massachusetts. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10 am a funeral ceremony will be held at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lakenham Cemetery in Carver, Massachusetts.
