Jeannette W. LaCroix St. Don, aged 92 years passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024 at Sacred Heart Home.

She was born on November 23, 1931 to Ira and Blanche (Turcotte) Perry in New Bedford, MA.

Jeannette was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School.

She married Conrad LaCroix who predeceased her 29 years ago. She was a faithful and loving wife and loving mother to her four children.

Jeannette and Conrad enjoyed traveling, dinners with family and summers by the beach and their pool.

Jeannette worked at Acushnet Company where she met Bobby Orr, her favorite hockey player.

Devoted to her Catholic faith she was a weekly communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish at St. Mary’s Church until her illness. She felt a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother.

She found happiness once again when she married her second husband, Raymond St. Don, predeceased 8 years. They enjoyed dancing, bingo and attending activities at the Buttonwood Senior Center.

Jeannette enjoyed watching the Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots.

She never missed any of her children’s baseball or basketball games and continued to be her grandchildren’s number one fan at all their events.

Her wish was for her family to remember her life with joy and not sorrow.

She is survived by her four children, Steven (Gail) LaCroix of Dolgeville, NY, Sandra (Stephen) Burns of Fairhaven, MA, James (Cathy) LaCroix of Acushnet, MA and William (Caroline) LaCroix of Middleboro, MA. She had ten grandchildren, Scott, Shannon, David, Jeffrey, Lynne, Julie, Heather, Grace, Katerina, Will and ten great-grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, Annaliese, Aiden, Scarlett, Abigail, Angel, Stephen, Cole, Reese. Two sisters, Mabel Kaeterle, and Georgette Poitras and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Wilfred Perry, and Normand Perry, and two grandchildren Scott and Grace.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10 am.
