The Lakeville Public Library will host a Mass Capoeira performance on Tuesday, April 22, at 2 p.m. in the Great Ponds Gallery. The event will feature a demonstration of capoeira, a unique Afro-Brazilian art form combining martial arts, dance, music and acrobatics.

Following the performance, children will have the opportunity to learn basic capoeira movements. 

The Mass Capoeira performance will include live music, singing, acrobatic solos, and a capoeira roda, where participants will demonstrate capoeira in a traditional circle. The performance may also include stories about the history of capoeira, maculelê (a warrior dance with sticks) and other Afro-Brazilian arts.
