Great Molasses Flood to be explored at talk

MIDDLEBORO — A program on one of history’s most unusual occurrences, the Great Molasses Flood, will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Middleboro Council on Aging, 558 Plymouth St.
The tragedy took place in January 1919 in Boston’s North End.
The talk by presenter Nancy Franks will explore how the disaster occurred and what changes the event led to.
