Grange to host annual agricultural fair Saturday, Aug. 24
MIDDLEBORO — The South Middleboro Grange will host the 66th annual Agricultural Fair on Saturday, August 24, at the South Middleboro Grange Hall.
The Hall is located at 570 Wareham Street, South Middleboro.
Entries will be judged from 7 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24. The fair will open to the public at 1:00 p.m.
This year’s fair will feature traditional categories including: vegetables, flowers and flower arrangements, jams, jellies, needlework, baking categories and more.
Arts and crafts categories include jewelry, oil painting, watercolor painting, decoration and adult coloring contests (ages 18 and older) and a new woodworking category. Other crafts will be judged in the unclassified category.
There will also be contests for photography and needlework.
Classes for all categories are available to kids ages 5 to 14 as of January 1, 2024 unless denoted otherwise (adult coloring contest).

Outdoor vendors selling jewelry, handiwork, art and yard sale items will be available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be live music and a baked chicken dinner at 6 p.m. that costs $14 for adults and $7 for children. The fair auction will begin at 7 p.m.
The grange works in cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources and Massachusetts State Grange to put on the fair.
