Grace Isabel Shaw of Middleboro died peacefully on January 14, 2025 in the Hannah B. G. Shaw Home, where she received outstanding and loving care for many years.  She was 97.

 

She was born on May 11, 1927 in Middleboro, daughter of the late Ivan P. and Alice I. (Robinson) Shaw, attended local schools and was a graduate of Middleboro High School. 

 

Prior to her retirement, Grace devoted forty-three years to the Lakeville Hospital, where she was the Principal Clerk for the Director of Nursing.  A member of the Central Congregational Church, she was active in the Cabot Club and enjoyed traveling, art courses, doll making and writing poetry.

 

Grace is the cousin of Terry Sparrow and his wife, Ann and Liz Sparrow, the wife of late Stan Sparrow.  She is also survived by her extended family in Vermont. 

 

Funeral services on January 24, 2025 (Friday) at 10 a.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.

 

Interment will be private and at a later date.
