Pumpkin Romp returns this fall, bringing autumnal fun to lawns across Middleboro and Lakeville. 

For $10, businesses and residents can register for this year’s romp, and use pumpkins and other materials to craft an outdoor display for area residents to explore across their neighborhoods and later vote on. Registration is open now, and participants have until Oct. 11 to finish their display.

Maps of these displays will be available online or at Freitas Liquors at 167 Center St. in  Middleborough for $3. There will be a ballot sheet on the back of each map where people can vote for their favorite until Halloween, and the top three displays will win a prize. 

The event raises funds for The Heart in Art, an arts-based nonprofit at 15 Main St. in Lakeville. The funds will be used to create and support programs, and minimize financial barriers to participation for individuals with disabilities.
