ACUSHNET _ Acushnet Creamery, 264 Main St., Acushnet, will offer free small vanilla sundaes to support the family of Jasmine Lane, who was killed Feb. 24 in a fire at her Middleboro home. 

Those attending the event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9 will receive a free small vanilla sundae with a donation of any amount to the Lane family. 

A Touch a Truck event, featuring fire and police apparatus from various local departments, will also be featured. A comfort dog will be on hand next door at Pope Park.

Additional parking is available at Acushnet Animal Hospital, located across the street. Rain date is Sunday, March 10.
