Fifth-grader to head to Washington D.C. with help of Middleboro Rotary Club

May 7, 2025

The Middleboro Rotary Club is sponsoring Austin Card, a fifth-grade student at Mary K. Goode School, to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.

Austin, who was nominated by his teacher James O'Brien, is one of four students selected to represent the school and community at the national program. The conference offers leadership-focused classroom sessions, visits to historic landmarks, and opportunities to connect with peers and professionals from across the country.

The Rotary Club, with additional support from The 'American Dream' Team Realtors, is helping cover the $3,145 cost of Austin’s participation. The fee includes accommodations, educational programming, and guided tours during the multi-day conference.

Community members who would like to support Austin’s sponsorship can contact the Middleboro Rotary Club at QuackSellsHomes@gmail.com.
