Electronics dropoff, food drive scheduled
The pubic is invited to disposed of electronic devices for free in return for food pantry donations on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Sacred Heart Food Pantry for the annual event. Returns and donations can be handed off at North Easton Savings Bank, 448 W. Grove St., Middleboro; Muckey’s Liquors, 13 Harding St., Route 44, Lakeville or Our Lady of Lourdes, 130 Main St., Carver.
With a donation, residents can dispose of electronic devices for free. Anything with a cord will be accepted, including cell phones, toaster ovens, laptops, fans, radios, stereo equipment, microwave ovens, air conditioners, VCRs and printers. A $40 recycling fee is required for any tube TV or flat screen over 32 inches
Sacred Heart Food Pantry is accepting non-perishable, non-expired food items, and hygiene products including, canned or boxed food items, Hamburger Helper, pasta, rice side dishes, condiments, cookies and crackers, baking supplies and mixes. Health and beauty aids including shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bar soap and body wash and tissues are also desirable donations.
JunkLuggers is offering disposal services free.
