Disaster mitigation plan to be discussed
MIDDLEBORO — The public is invited to attend a Select Board meeting, in person at Town Hall or via Zoom, to discuss the Town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan on Monday, April 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.
This plan serves as a strategy for reducing current and future risks of natural hazards and climate change.
The public is invited to share their ideas for reducing impacts associated with natural hazards and to learn about the updated plan. Residents are encouraged to get involved to help make the town more resilient to natural hazards such as floods, drought, high winds, and winter storms.
When approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the plan allows the town to apply for pre-disaster mitigation grant funding.
The link for Zoom attendees can be found on the town’s website, www.middleboroughma.gov.
