Dates to remember for Middleboro spring annual town election
MIDDLEBORO — Nomination papers are now available for the April 1 annual town election.
The deadline to take out nomination papers is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8. The deadline to submit nomination papers is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.
March 22 is the deadline to register to vote.
Positions on the ballot include: Select Board, two positions for three years, incumbents are Nathan Demers and Mark Germain.
Gas and Electric Commissioners: one position for three years, incumbent is Ellen M. Farley Wylie.
School Committee, two positions for three years, incumbents are Teresa Kelly Farley and Meghan M. Jenness; School Committee, one position to fill unexpired term to 2025, incumbent is Richard Peter Oakley Jr.
Board of Assessors, one assessor for three years, incumbent is Paula M. Burdick.
Finance Committee, three positions for three years, incumbents are Ryan Matthew Downey, John Jankowski, Christine Ashley Rivers.
Planning Board, one seat for five years, incumbent is John F. Healey.
Park Commissioners, two positions for three years, Judith A. Bigelow-Costa and Dawn Mariann Savery.
Housing Authority, one seat for five years, incumbent Robert Eatherton; Housing Authority, one seat to fill unexpired term to 2024, incumbent, Thomas S. White.
Precincts are: Precinct 1, Oak Point Club House, 202 Oak Point Drive; Precincts 2, 4 and 6: Middleboro High School, 71 E. Grove St.; Precinct 3: South Middleboro Fire Station, 566 Wareham St.; Precinct 5 and 5A, Council on Aging, 558 Plymouth St.; Precinct 7 and 7A: Nichols Middle School, 112 Tiger Drive.
Polling hours for town elections are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
