From dance to science, library summer promises some cool stuff

MIDDLEBORO —  A lively, fun summer lies ahead at the Middleboro Public Library, with music, dance and martial arts among the planned activities for the summer reading program.

Toe Jam Puppet Band will perform a family-friendly concert at 6:30 p.m. June 27 on Town Hall lawn.

Drumatix, a tap and percussion group, will entertain at 6:30 p.m. July 5 on Town Hall lawn.

Dreamtale Puppets will be presented at 10:30 a.m. July 8 at the library meeting room.

One World with Mister G, a family environmentally focused event with music, books, games and activities from local organizations, will take place at 5 to 8 p.m. July 11 on Town Hall lawn.

Mass Capoeira, an interactive program combining Brazilian martial arts and music, is scheduled for 6 p.m. July 25 at the Town Hall lawn.

Talewise: Science Heroes, a collaboration with the Middleboro Parks Department featuring science experiments, will take place at 1 p.m. July 27.

Meet and learn about animals from Pine Meadow Farm in a collaboration with the Middleboro Parks Department at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 1 at 26 Jackson St.

An Encanto dance party will be held at the Middleboro Historical Association, 18 Jackson St.,  from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 5.

Grumbling Gryphons, a drama workshop and show, will be held Aug. 8 at Town Hall. The workshop is scheduled from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. with the show at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required; visit midlib.org for more information.
