Clothing, shoes distributed to those in need

Jul 12, 2023

MIDDLEBORO – The Sacred Heart Food Pantry in Middleboro recently hosted Walt’s Mobile Closet, an organization that provides free gently used clothing and shoes to those in need.

Since Memorial Day weekend, the Food Pantry has been restocked, thanks to a food drive at the Shaw’s supermarket in Carver and the Postal Workers Stamp Out Hunger collection.

Combined, these two events brought more than 8,000 pounds of food and toiletries to pantry shelves.

Residents of Middleboro, Lakeville, Rochester and Carver who are experiencing food insecurity can register at the pantry by bringing in proof of residency.

Pantry hours are the first four Saturdays of every month and the first and third Wednesdays from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
