Book it to the Middleboro Library for upcoming events
MIDDLEBORO — Here’s the latest chapter in Middleboro Public Library news for the weeks ahead:
The library will host the next meeting of the non-fiction book club at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31.
This club offers a bit of a twist on the traditional book club format. Everyone reads what they like and then can share the title with others at the meeting. There is no pressure to report on a book; those looking for ideas on what to read next are also welcome.
Ms. Kathy will present Toddler Tunes at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 with music and movement aimed at toddlers. No registration is necessary.
Lego building afternoons will continue from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31. Create a Lego masterpiece using the library’s bricks. Space is on a first-come, first-served basis, with one table per family or group. Social distancing is encouraged.
The IditaREAD Winter Reading Challenge begins Feb. 1 and runs through March 31.
Children up to sixth grade can enter and log reading time and complete activity badges related to seasonal and timely topics. There is a chance to win one of three grand prizes, including a gift certificate for ice cream, a plush husky dog and an Alaskan prize pack.
To participate, visit midlib.beanstack.org. The program is supported by the Friends of the Middleboro Public Library.
