Author Michael Tougias to speak at Middleboro Library
MIDDLEBORO — To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Fans of Nonfiction Book Club, the public is invited to join the book club members for a program by author and inspirational speaker Michael Tougias, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Middleboro Public Library.
The author of more than 20 books of nonfiction, one of which, “The Finest Hours,’’ was adapted into a Disney movie, Tougias will speak about his books, with a focus on “So Close to Home: A True Story of an American Family's Fight for Survival During WWII.’’
His slide presentation will be followed by an open discussion about his books, as well as his writing process, research and other topics.
