Aubrey Lynn Bachant, born Garrett James Bachant on August 28, 1995, to William Bachant and Lynne Moody, passed away leaving a legacy of creativity, compassion, and conviction. She is survived by her three beloved siblings: Pete, Megan, and Tom.
From an early age growing up in Lakeville, Aubrey displayed a remarkable combination of imagination and industriousness. Whether she was building boats or repairing everything from houses to cars and even firearms, she showed a natural aptitude for craftsmanship. A master builder and a skilled tinkerer, she had the rare ability to bring her ideas vividly to life.
Aubrey was also a gifted musician, performing in bands alongside friends and her brothers. Her creativity extended into many realms, including comic book creation, computer programming, and a distinctive sense of humor and style that those who knew her will never forget.
Her intellectual curiosity was boundless. She had a deep love for history and philosophy and remained a passionate learner throughout her life. That passion fueled her political activism and community involvement, most notably her instrumental role in organizing efforts to unionize her local Starbucks. Her commitment to social justice and workers' rights made her a powerful advocate for equity and dignity in the workplace.
Aubrey viewed the world through a romantic lens, with a profound love for animals—particularly cats (including caracals) and crows. She was known for her kind and compassionate spirit, her radiant, sheepish grin, and an unwavering sense of justice that touched the lives of many.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know her.
