MIDDLEBORO — The work of local artist L.E. (Lori) Ashley will be featured in a new exhibit at True Grit Art Gallery in Middleboro.
“Imperfections,” a solo exhibit of fine art assemblages, will be on display through Oct. 26.
Ashley is a Middleboro artist who combines oil painting with assemblage art, housing her paintings in carefully chosen architectural elements made from reclaimed antique wood and rusty hardware.
“I find the imperfect infinitely more interesting than the perfect,” said Ashley. “My work reflects this. So does my life.”
True Grit Art Gallery is located at 38 Center St., Middleboro. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
