Metabolic Health: Overcoming Barriers to Fat Loss

Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Saturday, March 1, 2:00 p.m. to hear obesity specialist Dr. Kevin Gendreau discuss his latest book – a guide to overcoming the physiological barriers that make fat loss so difficult. Dr. Gendreau combines humor and empathy with expert advice for anyone wishing to improve their metabolic health. This will be Dr. Gendreau’s third presentation on motivation and weight loss for the Friends. The presentation will be held at Southworth Library.
Obesity specialist Dr. Kevin Gendreau earned his bachelor’s degree at Boston University before completing his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed residencies in Family Medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance and Carney Hospital through Tufts University. He has also received an Honorarium for Prostate Cancer Research from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Gendreau is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and is board certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Copies of his book, Metabolic Health Handbook: A Doctor’s Guide to Overcoming the Hormonal and Biological Barriers to Fat Loss, will be available for signature and purchase ($20, cash or Venmo).
