Dinner for a cause
MIDDLEBORO — The Sacred Heart Food Pantry will hold its annual Italian Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Oak Point Clubhouse.
Dinner will be catered by Riccardi’s Italian Restaurant of New Bedford. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The Bartending Service of New England will operate a cash bar. Outside beverages will not be allowed.
Tickets are $40 and are available online at the St. Vincent de Paul website, svdpmiddleboro.org. Tickets can also be purchased in person with cash or check at Muckey’s, Freitas Liquors and the Parish Offices at 340 Center St.
Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Fun on the farm
MIDDLEBORO — The Soule Homestead Education Center will return Sept. 27 with the annual Harvest Fair to celebrate the beginning of fall, bringing fresh food and family-friendly activities.
The fair is set to bring activities, food and drinks, music, shopping and more to the homestead, located at 46 Soule St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Many of the activities will tie in to the homestead’s agricultural focus, including a cranberry bog exhibit, garlic planting, a horse show and a sheep dog demonstration.
Presale tickets are available online now, with prices increasing at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the homestead’s website.

Certify safe seats
MIDDLEBORO — The Middleboro Health and Fire Departments will host a Car Seat Safety Day Monday, Sept. 29 for residents to receive wellness resources and obtain safety checks for car-seats.
The Car Seat Safety Day event will take place from 2-6 p.m. on the front lawn of Town Hall in Middleboro. At the event, safety resources will be shared and participants can have their car-seats checked by certified technicians.
