Dinner and a show fundraiser
MIDDLEBORO — On Friday, Feb. 20, the North Congregational Church will be hosting a fundraiser for Carver policewoman Laicey Leronimo and her next Boston Marathon run.
This year will be Leronimo's third time running the marathon, and will be on a team supporting veterans. People can follow her running journey on the Facebook page Laicey Runs.
The fundraiser will start at 6:00 pm with a dinner of varied pasta dishes, salad and dessert. The dinner will be followed by a cabaret performance with Brenda and Marty Hartford, both long-time musicians and teachers in the Middleboro Public Schools, opening the show.
Following the duo, Lynne Dansereau and Paul Sardinha, both long-time musicians and teachers in the New Bedford Public Schools, will share their talents as well. Though there is no charge for attending the event, a free-will offering will be collected to go directly to Leronimo and her Boston Marathon run.
The church is located at 38 Plymouth St. in Middleboro. There is parking in the church lot and around Titicut Green. The building is also accessible to all. For questions, reach out to Ellen Cooley at 774-766-0055.
