Middleboro Youth Citizenship Award
MIDDLEBORO — Do you know a young Middleboro resident who deserves a $500 citizenship award?
The Middleboro Democratic Town Committee is introducing a new annual Youth Citizenship Award program that awards $500 cash prize to youth residents who are civically engaged. The nominee must be between the ages of 10-18 and reside in Middleboro.
Nominees should exhibit good citizenship by: participating in school or community service, showing a positive attitude toward classmates, school, and community.
They must also display an understanding and appreciation of civic responsibility, and show how they promote citizenship with their school or community through other activities.
Nominations must be received by the Middleboro Democratic Town Committee on or before the last day of April.
Any Middleboro resident may nominate someone or themselves. All nominations should be emailed to middleborodems@gmail.com and include the nominee’s name, address, telephone number, email address and documentation to support the nomination.
Documentation can include a newspaper article, a letter of recommendation or an essay explaining why the nominee is a good citizen.
