Esther D. (Dupont) Covel

Esther D. (Dupont) Covel of Carver died peacefully on December 31, 2025.  She was 94. 

She was born on August 29, 1931 in Taunton, daughter of the late John and Mary (Cambra) Dupont, attending local schools.  A homemaker, Mrs. Covel loved her family and that love was returned. 

Devoted mother of Frances M. Osgood, Dale Covel and Randy Covel, the late Bob, Jimmy, Joy and Fred Covel.  Also survived by 12 grandchildren, including Brandon, with whom she made her home, the late Peter and Robey, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. 

Visiting hours on January 7, 2026 (Wednesday) from 3 until 6 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 

Funeral services on January 8, 2026 (Thursday) at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The Reverend James T. Pierce will officiate. 

Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Taunton. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local food pantry, animal shelter or charity of your choice.
