All of the downtown roads were clear of snow, but plenty of parking lots and road intersections show the remnants of the record-setting blizzard that landed this week.

Joggers, shoppers and dogs stretched their legs in downtown Middleboro on Feb. 28, after many had been housebound since the Monday blizzard dropped 3 feet of snow in town.
Molly Hannon of Middleboro jogged through the downtown area on Saturday and said the fresh air and clear weather was a welcome change from the biggest winter storm she’s ever lived through. It was the first time she’s jogged since the historic storm landed on Monday.
Along with stretching her own legs, she has two young sons she said are “ready to run.”
“The fresh air feels great, and I’m looking forward to getting my toddlers outside too,” Hannon said.
Erica McGrath said once she checked if the pavement was warm enough for her four-year-old Alaskan Husky named Chloe to walk on, they hit the downtown sidewalks to soak up the welcome weather change.
“Today feels very nice and exhilarating,” McGrath said. “I’m taking [Chloe] out because we've been stuck in the house, so it's refreshing and she likes to be out.”
Middleboro resident Justin Knuth said being able to drive around town with clear roads is great after being housebound for much of the week.
He grabbed coffee in Middleboro before a trip to a Carver sports-card-game shop, and said being able to drive under warmer weather with the windows down is another benefit Saturday’s sunshine brought.
“The weather is surprisingly nice,” Knuth said. “It's just nice to not get cabin fever, you know, and be able to get outside and get some fresh air.”
One pedestrian enjoying the warm weather and clear sidewalks was Sandy Smiley, who took the chance to finally post flyers around town for the upcoming Cooler Middleboro Fair.
She began posting flyers on Sunday before the storm, but her plans quickly changed thanks to the blizzard. She said she was grateful for the work of town snowplow-crews, who have been tackling the storm’s aftermath all week.
“Who would know? It's beautiful today,” Smiley said.
“The town has great merchants, and we need to get out and really support them this weekend, because they've had several days where they couldn't be open,” she added.
